Ronald William Webb's Chopin Exhibition
17 June 09 - 27 June 09

An exhibition inspired by THE PIANIST
Painted specifically for this exhibtion, Webb found his inspiration in the story of THE PIANIST (playing in the Theatre at the same time) and the piano music of Chopin, which features heavily in the production.
Webb limits himself to three colours: red, black and white. He chose these because they are the colours of the Polish and Nazi flags, piano keys, soil and blood.
Always searching for an elegant and subtle beauty in his work, Ronald William Webb treats every new painting as a challenge, constantly self critical, he believes it is only the endeavour and struggle that will bring any satisfaction.
